Description
*originally recorded on 11-24-25*
On the morning of November 24th, after staying-up way too late the night before saying goodbye to friends at the con, I got on up and loaded-up my car to begin making my way back home to Huntsville for Thanksgiving later in the week. After documenting some old searchlight signals around southeast Wisconsin, I made my way down to downtown Lemont, IL, to try and get the Stephen Street crossing there recorded. As I had a while to wait for the next train, however, I decided to film some of the traffic lights at the neighboring intersection, as it features a mix of 3M signals, incandescent Durasig pedestrian signals, and partially-incandescent Durasig traffic lights. Sadly, only two of the incandescent Durasig peds still fully worked, but it was nice to get them recorded regardless. The arrows on two of the 3M traffic lights here only come-on when the railroad crossing next to the intersection activates, based on @TommyBNSF's video of the crossing in question.
You can also see how the 3M signals here remain green a bit longer than this pair of Durasigs on the near-side of the crossing here in order to allow anyone on the tracks to clear whenever the traffic lights here turn red.
