📍 VENNA CAKE - RECIPE 📍
INGREDIENTS:
• Maida (or) Wheat Flour = 2 cups = 300 gm
• Vennapusa = 1 cup = 200 gm
• Sugar = 1 cup = 250 gm
• Milk = 1 cup = 240 ml
• Curd = 1/2 cup = 120 ml
• Baking Powder = 1.5 tsp
• Vanilla Essence = 1 tsp
• Cashews = 1/4 cup
• [ OPTIONAL ] Tutti Frutti = 1/4 cup
PROCESS:
• In a bowl, mix Maida & Baking Powder
• Sieve this mix twice & keep aside
• In a large bowl, mix Vennapusa & Sugar
• Beat this very well until sugar is fully dissolved & a fluffy mixture is formed
• Add: Milk + Curd + Vanilla Essence
• Mix this very well
• Now add the dry mix (in batches) into this wet mix & mix very well
• Make sure no lumps are formed
• Add: Cashews
• Add: Tutti Frutti
• Grease a Cake Mould with butter & pour this mixture into that
• Bake the cake on medium heat for 30-40 minutes until a knife inserted comes out clean
Note: if you do not have Vanilla Essence, you may alternately use 1 tea spoon of Elachi Powder.
