Perfect Geometry, Built By Bees

It’s easy to focus on the colour of fresh honeycomb, but what truly amazes me is the engineering behind it. 🐝 Every perfectly formed hexagon is built by tiny insects working together with extraordinary precision. The structure is incredibly strong, lightweight, efficient, and designed to maximise storage while using the least amount of wax possible. 🐝 When the comb is brand new, the beeswax is a brilliant white, untouched by pollen, nectar, and propolis. Over time, it darkens and becomes stained by the daily life of the colony. 🐝 Watching bees create this living architecture from scratch never stops being fascinating.
