This theme applies not only to “Tether,” my thriller set in a space station, but also to making films. Filmmaking is a collaborative art, and you have to work together if you’re going to survive. I am beyond grateful to have had an amazing team by my side pulling off an ambitious tale with spectacular stunts and an emotional arc that resonates. I love stories where flawed but relatable characters are thrown into high-pressure situations that force them to change or die. Genre stories are the best way to hold a mirror up to ourselves and our world and explore our sins and our strengths.
