Description

700 customers. One Formula 1 circuit. One Renault Duster Track Attack at the Buddh International Circuit. This is not a professional racing event. This is Renault India giving customers and prospective buyers the keys to the new 1.3-litre turbo GDI Renault Duster and sending them out onto India's only F1-spec racetrack for hot laps — coached by professional driving instructors, on JK Tyres Ranger HP tyres, at the BIC in Greater Noida. The day began with something nobody expected. The original Renault Duster — the car that created the mid-size SUV segment in India in 2012 joined the new Renault Duster on the BIC for a ceremonial parade lap. The old guard handing over to the newcomer, on the same tarmac where Formula 1 cars once raced. From there, participants began with Autocross — a tight, technical layout that pushes the Renault Duster's 1.3 turbo GDI engine and its RGMP platform. Then came the hot laps. Wave after wave of customers out on the BIC's full circuit, learning braking points and racing lines from professional instructors, pushing the Duster harder than any road would ever allow. The verdict from everyone who drove the Renault Duster was the same. It corners with control, the 1.3 turbo pulls hard, the platform stays composed under real track stress, and the whole experience left over 700 people leaving the BIC with a smile. JK Tyres Ranger HP tyres supported the event with variable tread band stiffness and ultra sipes for the best possible traction and stability under track conditions. Castrol kept the 1.3-litre GDI engines running through a full weekend of Delhi summer heat and sustained track loads. The OG is back. The new Renault Duster is built for the enthusiast — and this weekend at the BIC proved it with 700 witnesses.
