Description

Someone on the ground near the location of the downed F-15E took this incredible video of an HC-130J Combat King II Hercules refueling HH-60W Jolly Green IIs during the search for the Strike Eagle Weapons System Operator. The Air Force Rescue motto is "So That Others May Live" and flying this low over the adversary's terrain shows their dedication to that motto. This is very risky. Why? This refueling formation is flying about 1500 to 2000 feet above the ground near mountainous terrain, a very sporty refueling altitude inside adversary airspace. I've done this... riding in the back of an HH-60 at night over the Pacific Ocean on Night Vision Goggles. The MC-130 crew waved to us from an open door! Refueling increases the range and stretches the endurance of the Jolly Greens, critical during any long search and rescue missions. #aviation #avgeek #military #airforce #army #navy #usmc #pilot #pilotlife #flight #flying #fly #aircraft #airplane #plane #jet #airport #photo #photography #video #videoviral #viralvideos #lessonsfromthecockpit #podcast #show #takeoff #drone
