Eve Barlow on claiming the freedom to live authentically: “That’s what our people fought for."

Eve Barlow – writer, journalist and activist – knows intimately that being openly Zionist and openly LGBTQ+ can make you a target. But what you gain, she argues, is far greater than what you lose. For Barlow, true integrity means refusing to separate parts of yourself to make other people comfortable – standing fully in your identity, becoming a source of strength for others, and claiming the freedom to live authentically. “That’s what our people fought for.
