Yangon, Myanmar ➖ Well, not even a few days into my Myanmar trip I got food poisoning. I was trying to be cautious with my street food intake on this trip, but the food poisoning gods said otherwise. So, after vomiting out every liquid in my body I knew I needed to get medical attention fast. But, due to the outbreak of Cholera in Yangon, I had no option but to visit a public hospital in Myanmar. What I thought would be just a few-hour visit, ended up being 2 days of extreme testing, injections and a whole array of other things to treat the severe illness I had picked up.
