Eschatornis - The Tiny Late-Surviving Terror Bird

Terror birds weren't all just 3 metre tall behemoths, they also came in smaller, but nonetheless scrappy packages. One of these was the terror bird named as Eschatornis, which, having been described at the end of March this year, confirms that this extinct lineage survived a lot more recently than many had thought prior.
