Mexico Kills Top Cartel Leader, SCOTUS Strikes Down Tariffs, and Northeast Blizzard #shorts

The Mexican army killed the country’s most powerful cartel leader on Sunday, notching a major victory. The killing of Jalisco New Generation Cartel leader “El Mencho” sparked violence across the country, with many local and foreign governments urging their citizens to shelter in place. U.S. futures have slipped and world markets were mixed after the Supreme Court struck down most of President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs. Bitcoin tumbled as much as 5% early Monday. Oil prices also declined. Trump responded to the Supreme Court's decision by pledging to impose tariffs using other avenues. And millions of residents in parts of the northeastern U.S. are stuck at home as a fierce winter storm brings heavy snow to the region.
