Tanner Horner sentenced to death for murder of Athena Strand

Tanner Horner was sentenced to death by a Tarrant County jury Tuesday afternoon for murdering 7-year-old Athena Strand. The decision comes after about three hours of deliberation and five weeks of testimony. Horner, 34, pleaded guilty last month to kidnapping and killing Athena on Nov. 30, 2022. Horner, a former FedEx driver, admitted to abducting Athena after delivering a Christmas package to her rural Wise County home. Read more in the link in our bio.
