Riding the Rapids River at Atlantis The Rapids River at Atlantis Paradise Island is a mile-long, high-intensity "lazy" river in the Aquaventure Waterpark that features wave surges, white water rapids, and 7-foot drops. Unlike a traditional lazy river, it uses a conveyor belt lift and powerful pumps to create an adventurous, fast-paced ride through the resort. Intense Action: Features 4+ rapids sections, including high-speed white water, wave surges, and, at times, turbulent water that requires holding onto the tube Length & Duration: As the longest river in the Bahamas, it provides a long, winding, one-mile loop through the resort landscape Conveyor Lift: A unique "water escalator" (conveyor belt) transports riders up to elevated sections for drops Safety Requirements: While it does not have a strict height requirement, riders under 48" must be able to support themselves in the tube. It is not recommended for non-swimmers, pregnant individuals, or those with back/neck injuries, as noted in the official park regulation
