Australian Magpie family meets the drone and Mum gets bales – Australian birds

Making introductions can be tricky, but sometimes you have to. Magpies might be wary of strange flying objects – or they might just attack them on site. I figure if I'm standing close to the drone they might be better inclined towards it. And by an extraordinary coincidence while I was filming a drone flight someone flew a drone over my property. You can hear it – it wasn't that far away. So after the drone flight Mum gives Lil' Sis a grasshopper that she keeps trying and failing to swallow – there's never a Junior around when you want one. Mum is looking great post-moult. She was fairly rough for a few months there. Come to think of it Dad's looking good again too. They must both be pretty much done. Cheers folks!
