I Can’t Believe This Car Was Running – Look at This Fuel Filter!

In this video, I show a severely clogged fuel filter and contaminated fuel pump assembly that was causing poor fuel delivery. The fuel inside the pump cup was completely black and full of debris. This restriction was affecting engine performance and fuel pressure. This vehicle is a 2018 Nissan Kicks, but this fuel pump replacement procedure is similar for most Nissan Kicks models and many other vehicles with in-tank fuel pump assemblies. After replacing the fuel pump and fuel filter and cleaning the assembly with carb cleaner, the engine runs much smoother and more stable.
