Tiger Woods has been involved in four significant vehicle incidents since 2009. The first occurred in November 2009, when he crashed his Cadillac Escalade into a fire hydrant and a tree outside his Florida home. He sustained minor facial injuries, and the event led to a highly publicized personal scandal. In May 2017, police found him asleep behind the wheel of his running Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG in Jupiter, Florida. He had multiple prescription medications in his system following back surgery and later pleaded guilty to reckless driving. His most severe accident happened in February 2021 near Los Angeles. While driving a Genesis GV80, he traveled nearly double the speed limit, crossed a median, and rolled several times. He suffered devastating leg and ankle injuries that required extensive surgery. Most recently, in March 2026, he was involved in a crash while driving a Range Rover on Jupiter Island. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI after his vehicle clipped a truck and rolled over.
