Dr Kevin Baizhou Lu graduates

Massey cupid strikes again! When Dr Kevin Baizhou Lu was planning to move across the world, he had a very important decision to make. Which side of the ditch was he going to relocate to, Australia or New Zealand? The decision didn’t come easy but after graduating recently with his PhD, Dr Lu says he is glad he made the right decision. “I met my wife at Massey back in 2016 and we have been married for two years. If I hadn’t come to Massey, I wouldn’t have met her and we wouldn’t have our 14-month-old son, Brian. It was very special to graduate with him.” For his doctoral research, Dr Lu investigated the economic impact of corporate offshore investments in his home country, China. With the development of internationalisation and globalisation, outward foreign direct investment becomes a crucial factor for Chinese firms to engage with the world. Congratulations Dr Lu.
