According to Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), the effusive vent feeding this activity is located near Mount Simone at approximately 2,100 meters above sea level. The most advanced lava front is currently positioned just south of Rocca Musarra, around 1,580 meters elevation. Monitoring networks show no significant changes in seismic or infrasonic activity, and GNSS and tilt data remain stable. A modest decompression trend has been observed in strain meter data, consistent with ongoing lava effusion.
