No Country For Redback Spiders - Summer 2025 Peak Spider Season

It's Redback Roundup time again, this time it's mid Summer and there's lots of deadly Redback spiders to clean out. The flamethrower gets a real workout and it's obvious the heat of Spring and early Summer has been perfect for Redback Spiders to breed in huge numbers. The Redback spider lures attract the the spiders really well. The hot dry Summer had a major change in when in January wild chaotic weather delivered record rainfall and strong winds that reset the Summer to a very wet feel. This windy weather is the perfect to allow Redback spiderlings to establish new spider nests. I get a lesson in how quickly my Redback Spider Lures can be reset with Redback spiders. What's really curious is only the front yard Redback spider lures have attracted spiders, the lures in the backyard have had none. Maybe the Brush Turkey family who live in the backyard are helping clean up any spiders who attempt to set up home there. Remember the Sydney Funnel Web and Australian Redback Spider are two of the most dangerous spiders in the world. And both are living at my place.
