A human rights lawyer, Ikechukwu Obasi, has filed a fundamental rights enforcement suit at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja against Tonto Dikeh. The suit claims that the actress turned evangelist violated the rights of a female school child during what was described as a “vicious religious deliverance ritual.” The lawyer is seeking several declarations and court orders, including 200 million Naira in damages for violations of the child’s rights to dignity and privacy. It’s no longer news that famous Nollywood star, Tonto Dikeh, has rebranded into a born-again Christian. In a viral video, the single mother reintroduced herself as an evangelist and woman of God.
