How To: Correctly Rig Your Anchor ⚓️

Rigging an anchor... seems simple enough, right? Attach a chain to the end, and good to go. Not quite!! Many anchors are lost to the bottom due to improper rigging. The chain should not be fixed to the end. It should be attached to the end/ring with something that can break away, such as a zip tie or light string. Then the chain should be fixed to the front of the anchor. This way, if there's too much pressure at the end, the chain will break away, and the anchor can then be pulled out.
