Description

I used to think walking was enough for bone health. I was wrong. Here's what actually builds stronger bones: impact. And walking doesn't create enough of it. Walking gives us about 1.5 times our body weight in impact. Running gets us to 2.5 times. But our bones need 3.5 to 4 times our body weight to actually trigger bone-building cells, called osteoblasts, to do their job. The solution? Jumping. Multi-directional jumping, specifically. You can do 10 minutes three times a week, or break it into smaller sets throughout the day: 20 jumps here, 20 there, up to 50 total. The key is changing direction, not just jumping straight up and down. This was an eye-opener for me, and it might be the missing piece in your bone health routine too.
