Ontario’s auto industry dealt another blow as Honda suspends $15B EV plant

Ontario’s auto industry has suffered another blow. Honda is indefinitely suspending plans for a $15 billion electric vehicle plant in Alliston, Ont. The plant has the potential to create a 1,000 jobs. The automaker says the decision will not impact current jobs or production levels at its existing plant in Alliston. Honda also says no provincial or federal funding tied to the project had been received before the expansion was paused. Global’s Sean O’Shea reports.
