The Problem with Digital Circus Panels

Recently there’s been a trend where fans of the digital circus ask the voice actors weird questions at panels, so i think we need to have a talk about it. So it’s pretty common for the voice actors from the digital circus to attend conventions and host panels where they answer fan questions. Within the past few months however there’s been a trend where clips appear and it’s fans asking just really uncomfortable things to the voice actors. So the most recent was a fan asking for spoilers about ribbit, michael joked about it while alex reminded the crowd about asking for spoilers. The most insane incident was when a young fan asked michael to marry them. Michael was told that it was a joke and not serious, but its just unpleasant to watch. I’ll roll a short clip of both of these. It’s also pretty common for fans to ask questions that could land the voice actors in hot water, especially relating to shipping and opinions on characters they hate. Another problem is that many questions would be skewed towards michael, leaving the other voice actors out. At the latest panel at animeverse houston, they had to set out rules about these, including no shipping questions and none centered towards as specific voice actor. The latter was broken as i showed earlier. Obviously no hate to any of the kids at these conventions, it’s probably their first time, but i’m glad that the cons are starting to get stricter with questions. It must be exhausting to get bombarded with the same funnybunny and spoiler related questions over and over. I think alot of fans also just forget that the voice actors are people too, so they ask odd questions as jokes but don’t understand that it comes across as really weird. So what do you think?
