Alexa and River little joeys with big appetites

A few days after our first little man came into care we had a call out to a joey who had been thrown from it's mother's pouch after she was hit by a vehicle, which failed to stop. Sadly mum could not be saved due to a shattered jaw and internal bleeding. Alexa, as she was named, after Alex, the man who did stop and called us to the scene, has now joined River. The pair are currently with Wildlife Nurse SA to be stabilized before they go to their foster home where they will stay for many months to be hand raised, which starts with round the clock feeds.
