Description

"Surviving in a World of Overabundance" Presented by: Pr. Vitalii Shevchenko 1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 We are living in a time where access to luxury goods, disposable income, and free time is greater than at any point in recorded history—even if many of us don’t feel wealthy. Yet this abundance comes with a hidden spiritual cost. It creates a new kind of pressure on our minds and hearts, one we were not designed for, making us more vulnerable to compulsive overconsumption and addiction. Addiction has become a modern plague, and our survival—spiritual as well as human—will depend on learning how to live wisely, faithfully, and self-controlled in a world of abundance. Pr. Vitalii Shevchenko ********************************************************************************** Prayer Requests: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 Do you require someone beside you and with you to make a prayerful submission to God? Do you need prayer for something ailing or troubling you in your life? Or perhaps … are you seeking prayer on behalf of a family member or friend or someone that you feel needs help? Submit your prayer request to: https://rosdac.org.nz/prayer-request/ , and the Prayer Team of Royal Oak SDA Church will make submission to God … an intercessory prayer on your behalf, and/or together in fellowship and union with you. The Prayer Team of Royal Oak SDA Church will make intercessory prayer on your behalf at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, NZDT. Please Note: Should you require an immediate intercessory prayer to be made by the Prayer Team Leaders as soon as the prayer request is received by us, that you feel you cannot wait until the Prayer Team meets together on Wednesday evenings NZDT, then please indicate this in the “Your Prayer Request” **For more inspirational messages or to contact our Pastors, please check out our website: http://www.rocsda.org.nz **
