Not quite an SUV, not quite a wagon, the Cupra Formentor has its boots in each camp in a way that makes more sense than you might think. But time has come for the Formentor to receive its midlife update, with a new Sharknose front end, new colours and revised variant lineup. Armed with a 245kW/420Nm 2.0L turbocharged engine and AWD complete with the VW Group’s famous torque-vectoring rear differential that brings tail-happy shenanigans with a new Drift Mode. It remains the quickest Formentor money can buy – at least for now – with the 287kW/480Nm five-cylinder VZ5 arriving later this year in limited numbers.
