The Map of Science explores what science really is. I lay out all of the areas of human endeavor and show how they relate to each other from philosophy, through the sciences, to the social sciences, the arts and back to philosophy which I have drawn as a big donut. The main theme is that the scientific method is harder and harder to apply to subjects as they deal with more and more complex systems.
