Description

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Monday during a press briefing that the U.S. is on track to meet its goals with the military operation in Iran. “The president, commander-in-chief, and the Pentagon has always stated four to six weeks estimated timeline,” she said. “We’re on Day 30 today. So, you do the math on how much longer the Pentagon needs to fully achieve the objectives.” It has been one month since the launch of Operation Epic Fury where the U.S. and Israel launched joint strikes on Iran over concerns that the country had missiles. Iran responded by retaliating, resulting in other countries being hit. There have been reports of boots on the ground in Iran. Joe Kent, the former National Counterterrorism Center director, on Monday put out a call to action where he urged Americans to call the White House and object to boots on the ground. Leavitt also said that despite the Iranian regime denying it, talks are happening. “Despite all of the public posturing you hear from the regime and false reporting, talks are continuing and going well,” Leavitt said. “What is said publicly is of course, much different than what’s being communicated to us privately.” She also touted the military achievements of the U.S. in Iran. “The Iranian Navy has no vessels operating in major regional waterways and no ability to project naval power, which is why they’ve been assessed as combat ineffective,” she said.
