Mooresville Road Railroad Crossing, Belle Mina, AL

*originally recorded on 12-31-25* Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell, a Siemens gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights. Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, a Siemens gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights. On the morning of New Year's Eve, @vtgrxrman and I got on up and hit the road for west Tennessee to do a bit of end-of-year railfanning and to also catch some siren tests out there, the latter being our main goal for the day. As we were flying west down I-565, we saw a westbound mixed freight at Elko so we chased it over to this crossing in Belle Mina to catch it. Thankfully, we were able to beat it here with several minutes to spare and catch our first train of the day: NS 363 with a pair of NS AC44C6Ms leading a BNSF SD70ACe and a BNSF Dash-9 for power. The leader had a nice-sounding P5 on him as well. After the train passes, you can hear the Belle Mina DD reading-out for it, as usual. As you can see, nothing has changed to this crossing since I last recorded it. Apparently, the last time I filmed this crossing was over a year prior, which I wasn't entirely expecting, as I felt like I'd last filmed it a bit more recently than November of 2024.
