Hans and Wil have been together since their teens. Now they have been married for 47 years, but since Wil suffers from dementia, their life has completely changed. When Wil no longer recognises her husband and children, Hans makes a radical decision. He refuses to let his wife with dementia wither away in a nursing home and he buys a camper van. With Wil gradually fading away, Hans keeps fighting for moments of connection: he may briefly find her back in Spain, or the Balkans. As long as they’re travelling together, there is no final destination.
