Monégasque Charles Leclerc will remain with Ferrari for the foreseeable future, following another contract extension ahead of his home race that’ll keep him in red likely beyond 2030. Leclerc is in his eighth season at the Scuderia, his ninth in F1, but while he admitted that there were other offers on the table, the 28-year-old instead re-committed to his dream red squad - despite the Scuderia yet to provide him with a consistent race winning car - stating that after all these years, it has become a second family to him. Leclerc has also been given a significant salary increase, with the Monégasque understood to be moving up - from $40 million US dollars to $58 million, potentially pushing Ferrari’s race driver wage bill to almost $130 million with Lewis Hamilton allegedly on $70 million.
