Dad and Mum Australian magpies come for baths and some singing – Australian birds

Dad kicks off by jumping in for a splash and a soak. After a preen/shake break he comes back and is joined briefly by Mum. After session 2 he still feels a bit grotty and comes back for a quick rinse off. Check out Dad's left foot at 0:10 – it looks a lot more mobile than it did the last time we had a good look at it on the birdbath – not 100% compared to his right but that rear claw does curl around a bit just before he hops in. It's better than I expected it would be so good news! I mean, if you weren't looking for it When Mum took off at 1:50 she landed in the yard about 10 yards from the birdbath. She was so wet she ran across the yard with her wings out to dry off a bit before flying up into the Hoop pines. Cheers folks!
