Pepper Shrimp In Coconut Milk | Prawns in Coconut Gravy | Shrimp Curry With Coconut Milk | Prawns in Coconut Milk | Prawn Curry | Prawn Curry with Coconut Milk | Shrimp Curry | Shrimps in Coconut Milk | Prawn Gravy | Prawn Curry by Spice Eats Ingredients for Pepper Shrimp in Coconut Milk (Tsp-Teaspoon; Tbsp-Tablespoon) Shrimp/Prawns - 750 gms (gross) - nett 400-450 gms after shelling & deveining For marination: - Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp - Salt-3/4 tsp - Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp Tempering: - Green chillies, fine chopped- 2 small - Dry red chillies, fine chopped- 2 nos - Curry leaves -15 nos Spice powders: - Red Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp - Fennel powder (saunf) - 1/2 tsp Other Ingredients: - Onions, fine chopped- 2 medium ( 150 gms ) - Ginger garlic paste- 1.5 tsp - Tomatoes, chopped- 1 medium (75 gms) - Coconut milk- 250 ml - Salt- pinch in tomatoes - Lemon juice- 1 tsp - Coriander chopped- 2 tbsp - Oil- 4 tbsp Preparation: - Clean and devein the prawns - Marinate the prawns with salt, crushed pepper and turmeric powder. Set aside for around 20 mins. - Chop the onions, green chillies, dried red chillies, tomatoes and coriander leaves. - Prepare coconut milk or alternatively use store bought ready coconut milk. Process: - Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions. - Fry on medium heat for 5 mins till yellow in color. - Add the chopped green chillies & red chillies, curry leaves, mix & fry for a minute. - Now add the ginger garlic paste, mix & fry for around 2 mins on low heat till the raw smell is gone. - Now add the fine chopped tomatoes, pinch of salt and red chilli powder and cook on low heat for around 3-4 mins till the tomatoes are pulpy. - Next add the marinated prawns, mix well & fry on medium heat for around 2 mins - Now add 1/2 tsp saunf powder, give a mix, cook for around a minute and then add in the coconut milk. - Mix well & cover and cook on low flame for around 5 mins. - Lastly season with a pinch of salt if required, add lemon juice & chopped coriander leaves. - Mix well and simmer for a minute or two. #shrimincoconutmilk #prawncurry #prawnsincoconutmilk #shrimpcurry #prawnmasala #prawncurryrecipe #spicyprawnmasala #spiceeatsrecipes #spiceeats
