Owner Dumps Six Newborns In A Laundry Basket On The Roadside, Leaving Them For Dead [STORY BELOW]

Instead of seeking help, someone thought they could take the easy way out and dump these helpless babies in a broken laundry basket on the side of the road. By the time they were discovered, one pup was already covered in maggots. All of them were covered in fleas and fading fast without their mother. These pups are now safe, but our team wasn’t prepared to care for so many newborns. We need urgent support in gathering critical supplies and medical funds. Please, will you help us keep these babies alive? It was like a miracle. A wonderful lady and her young daughter were driving home when the daughter asked if she could roll the window down. The lady said her daughter never does that, but she let her. All of a sudden, the daughter gasped. “Mommy, look—puppies!” The lady turned her car around, and sure enough, there was a busted-up laundry basket on the side of the road with six tiny pups inside. They were so weak they weren’t even crying anymore. Right away, the lady and her daughter brought the puppies home. They tried to feed them, but were unsuccessful. That’s when the lady called our team. We told them to bring the pups to us ASAP. We didn’t know how long the babies had been without mom or what had happened to her. Was she dumped with her puppies? Or were the babies abandoned alone? Was their mom even still alive? There are so many questions we will probably never have answers to. Regardless, it goes without saying that these newborns would have died a slow and horrible death if that little girl hadn’t spotted them by pure chance. Flies had already laid maggots on one of the babies. Our team cleaned off the maggots and administered Capstar to kill the fleas swarming their coats and any other parasites we might have missed. Thankfully, all the puppies ate well except for the girl who had already been targeted by maggots. She did eat, but she was slower than the rest, and that worries us. Our hearts are breaking for these babies. What a rough start to life. Our team is doing everything we can to provide for these little ones, but their arrival was unexpected. We are dangerously low on puppy milk, puppy pads, cleaning supplies… anything you can think of, we need it.
