Newly released bodycam footage shows Colorado deputies safely escorting a family of ducks from an apartment complex swimming pool to a nearby pond in May. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said two of its Animal Control Officers worked together to scoop a group of tiny ducklings out of the Westwood Green Apartments' swimming pool in Lakewood and place them in a crate. The officers faced a snag when they realized the mama duck did not want to be carried, so they walked with her up to a local pond themselves. Footage shows the rescue, and the duck giving officers a piece of her mind as they took her babies to the pond. "Sometimes, protecting and serving means making sure every family, feathered or otherwise, finds their way home," the sheriff's office wrote on X. "It's what we do." @jeffcosheriffco via Storyful
