EASIEST Set-Up Trick for Playing a Draw #golf #golftechnique #golfer

This trick was first brought to light by John Rahm who sets his driver up about a foot or so behind the ball when he is trying to hit a draw . This allows him to keep everything else the same but just a simple set up tweak can change the shape of his shot and make it easier to control . It works because of two reasons. The first is that if you set up with the club in the middle it naturally makes you want to swing more around yourself creating a more in to out angle of attack through the ball as you have to get shallower if you’re hitting a ball earlier on in the swing. . It also means that if he was making the same swing and pretending that the ball was where he was setting up, if he squares the face up at this point as he’s coming through then it gives that extra bit of space for the face to keep turning over and by the time the clubs actually making contact with the ball the face is going to be more shut than normal this creating the draw spin .
