Air Quality Improves, But India Still Among World’s Most Polluted

According to the IQAir World Air Quality Report 2025, India remains the 6th most polluted country in the world, despite a slight drop in PM2.5 levels to around 49 µg/m³. But here’s the concern. The safe limit set by the World Health Organization is just 5 µg/m³. That means India’s air is still nearly 10 times more polluted than what is considered safe.
