Renault is all set to reveal its new Bridger Concept on March 10. It will spawn a sub-4-meter SUV, which could be positioned alongside the Kiger. The Renault Bridger will be designed and developed in India. According to the company, the name ‘Bridger’ is derived from the word ‘bridge’, with the letters 'ER' added for identification. It symbolises connection. Teaser images hint at a rugged and boxy design similar to the current Land Rover Defender. The concept also features illuminated ‘Renault’ lettering on the front fascia and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. The production version of the Bridger could use the same 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that is offered in the Kiger.
