Description

https://www.fao.org/geneva/our-activities/agriculture-and-fisheries-trade/en Leading up to the WTO’s 14th Ministerial Conference (MC14), FAO published seven Trade Policy Briefs on agriculture and fisheries, highlighting how trade policy discussions are increasingly linked to market stability, food security, nutrition, livelihoods, and the resilience and sustainability of agrifood systems. To support Members in their negotiations, the FAO Liaison Office in Geneva, in collaboration with FAO’s Markets and Trade Division, organized a virtual information session on 23 February 2026. The session presented the briefs, drawing on FAO’s extensive analytical work on markets, trade, and food security. The briefs provided concise overviews of key trends, policy trade-offs, and available evidence. The session also highlighted FAO’s technical support, including data, tools, analysis, and other resources in line with FAO’s mandate.
