By the end of the video, you will be able to spot Iqlab on the page and pronounce it beautifully. 📖 What is Iqlab? Iqlab means "to change" or "to convert". The rule is simple: whenever a Noon Saakinah (نْ) or Tanween (ـً ـٍ ـٌ) is followed by the letter Baa (ب), the Noon or Tanween is changed into a hidden Meem (م), pronounced with ghunnah (nasalisation) for two counts, before flowing into the Baa. What makes Iqlab the easiest of the four rules? It has only one letter — the Baa. Once you can spot a Noon Saakinah or Tanween sitting before a Baa, you have found every instance of Iqlab in the entire Qur'an. 🗣️ How to pronounce it (the Eaalim method): ✔️ Stop the Noon sound completely ✔️ Bring your lips together softly — no squeezing, no gap ✔️ Hold the ghunnah for two counts ✔️ Release gently into the Baa ✍️ How it looks in the Mushaf: Look for the small Meem (م) written above the Noon, or replacing one mark of the Tanween.
