Sydney men found guilty of murder in daylight gangland hit on “Capable” Preston

While the convictions bring closure to the trial, authorities still do not know who ordered or funded the assassination. Preston, a long time underworld figure with a history of violence and multiple enemies, was believed to have been targeted due to ongoing feuds and criminal disputes. His killing remains one of Melbourne’s most shocking gangland executions in recent years, with concerns the fallout could continue to drive further violence.
