Description

Dad scores a centipede right off the bat on Bale #1 – 1:04. Dad and Lil Sis share the first bale but Mum joins for a real family feast on Bale #2. There have been a few bales where all three get a feed lately with very little in the way of conflict. Mum and Dad are easier on Lil Sis than they were on the Lil Sis from last year. For those who don't know I recycle names. The chicks leave so I don't name them. Boys are Junior, girls are Lil Sis – or if there's two of them something else. I haven't had two male chicks at once since I've been doing videos. It's bound to happen eventually though. In hindsight I'm not that sure why that bale was on edge unless I missed it for a couple of days. I'd noticed the bales were leaning heavily the day before and was going to do something about it eventually. I left it too long. The magpies benefitted. I have some work to do on whether I prefer Andy's nuts to the ones I bought. A yield comparison mainly. Backstory is pretty simple – Andy gave me four unshelled peanuts. There were six viable nuts inside. Five of them grew. Hence “Andy's nuts”. All the rest of my nut plantings were from a packet of raw peanuts I bought. Fresh-roasted peanuts are tasty! Cheers folks!
