Possible Effects Heavy rains may affect areas near the storm. Strong winds with minimal to minor impact may be experienced in areas under Wind Signal No. 1, with Wind Signal No. 2 as the highest possible warning. Areas exposed to the Northeast Monsoon may experience strong to gale‑force winds, especially in coastal and upland areas. Affected Areas Today: Batanes, Babuyan Islands, parts of Luzon, Bicol Region, Visayas, and parts of Mindanao Tomorrow (Jan 17): Northern Luzon, Bicol Region, Visayas, and parts of Mindanao Sunday (Jan 18): Northern Luzon, Bicol Region, and Eastern Visayas Coastal and Marine Conditions Risk of coastal flooding and storm surge of up to 2.0 meters in low‑lying coastal areas of Bicol Region and Samar provinces within the next 48 hours. Gale warning is in effect for the eastern seaboards of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
