'Close the US bases! Scrap AUKUS!'

The Sydney Anti-AUKUS Coalition (SAC) organised a rally outside the gates to the HMAS Kuttabul naval base in Gadigal Country/Sydney on February 21 as part of the global anti-US bases days of action, called by World Beyond War. Similar actions took place in 49 places around world. Speakers included: NSW Greens MLC Abigail Boyd, Sha Reilly from Labor Against War, Matt Murphy from the Electrical Trades Union, Catherine Dobbie Gott from Sydney Knitting Nannas, Denis Doherty from the Anti-Bases Campaign Coalition, Greens Inner West Councillor Olivia Barlow and Peter Murphy representing Australians for War Powers Reform. Pip Hinman from SAC chaired the rally. Pop Up Peace Singers led-several anti-war songs. Video by Peter Boyle for Green Left.
