Description
Lindy Chamberlain became an Australian household name in 1982 when a jury found her guilty of murdering her nine-week-old baby Azaria while camping at Uluru/Ayers Rock in the Northern Territory.
Three years later, she was released from prison after a crucial piece of evidence was found. Her case is now seen as one of the most famous miscarriages of justice in Australian history.
Convinced the jury had got it wrong after the sentencing, Yvonne Cain publicly identified herself as one of the 12 jurors who found Lindy guilty.
When Lindy was released from prison in 1986, she later met Yvonne, who apologised to her.
