TVS has launched the new top variants for the Apache RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 4V in India with some exciting new features. These variants get a projector headlamp, TFT console, slipper clutch and much more. The price for the top-spec Apache RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 4V are Rs 1,47,990 and Rs 1,57,990 (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively. Here is a quick explanation of all the features these streetfighters offer:
New LED Lighting
The 2025 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and 200 4V now come with an all-new projector LED headlight, along with slatted LED DRLs. This new projector setup should provide slightly better illumination during night riding. The new fascia has also given the Apaches a more aggressive look which goes quite well with the overall sporty stance of these streetfighter motorcycles. Along with this, the bike now also comes with LED indicators taken straight from the bigger Apache RTR 310.
TFT Console
The new variants get a 5-inch TFT console from the RTR 310. This console supports smartphone connectivity via TVS’ SmartXonnect application for features like turn-by-turn navigation, SMS/call alerts and voice assist. Other than this, the console also shows race telemetry like a 0-60kmph recorder and lap recorder. This TFT console also gives the RTR 4Vs a slight premium touch.
Traction Control & Crash Alerts
Both the Apache RTR 160 4V and 200 4V already had dual channel ABS, but now TVS has also given these motorcycles a switchable traction control system for additional safety. Taking the safety factor a step ahead the bikes also come with a crash alert feature which informs the rider’s 3 emergency contacts about the mishap. This can ensure the rider gets timely help in serious incidents. Another update is the slip & assist clutch, which is new on the Apache RTR 160 4V, but was already on the RTR 200 4V.
Ride Modes
The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and 200 4V also have 3 ride modes on all variants: Sport, Urban and Rain. These ride modes set the engine output accordingly and also alter ABS intervention. Sport mode offers the maximum performance with least ABS intrusion, while Urban and Rain offer slight performance with a slightly lower power and torque output and ABS on max alert, making the bike easier to ride in the city or on a rainy day. These bikes also get TVS’s GTT (Glide Through Technology) feature which makes the bike move with only a slow clutch release and no throttle application. This is quite helpful in heavy traffic conditions.
