CEVA Logistics facilitates historic first export of Ugandan dried chilies to China

CEVA Logistics is proud to have supported a groundbreaking shipment that marks a new chapter in agricultural trade between Uganda and China. In a historic first, approximately 11 tons of premium dried chili peppers were transported from Kamuli, Uganda, to Shanghai, China—opening a new export channel for Ugandan farmers. The milestone shipment included 434 bags of carefully selected dried chilies, totaling over 14,000 kilograms, all packed into a single 40-foot container. The delivery represents the culmination of three years of planting, harvesting, quality sampling, and relationship building between the two nations—including the new zero-tariff agreements that make this kind of export more economically viable.
