Jethro Tull live at the Isle of Wight, 1970 — and this track absolutely floored me. “My God” is rooted in deep blues, but there’s something darker happening here. At moments, the riff genuinely hints at what Black Sabbath would fully crystallize just a few years later. Heavy, ominous, and hypnotic. Clive Bunker’s drumming is all about feel, restraint, and tension — letting the music breathe while still driving it forward. This isn’t about chops. It’s about authority, pocket, and musical instinct. The whole band is locked in, with Ian Anderson’s flute taking things into unexpected territory.
