Description
This is the Samsung Galaxy M17e, and here’s everything you need to know in just 60 seconds. First of all, the phone looks beautiful in this blue colour. It’s pretty sleek, it’s lightweight, and it’s also rated for dust and splashes. Even though there's a teardrop notch at the front, the display gets bright enough and the movies and shows look good on it. There's only a single speaker at the bottom, but, the good thing is that you do get a headphone jack here. It’s powered by Dimensity 6300 with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The benchmarks and stability are good, there are no stutters or lags in normal usage and if you want to game, it can handle BGMI and Call of Duty at 60FPS. There’s a big 6000mAh battery inside which is optimised well to last you a full day with a good 6 to 8 hours of SoT, and it supports 25W charging. But yeah, there’s no charger in the box. The phone is running on latest OneUI 8 and will get 6 years of OS updates, which is easily the best in the segment. There’s even Samsung Wallet support with a lot of ecosystem features. You do get some pre-installed apps, and glance lock-screen, but you can get rid of them. Connectivity-wise also it’s sorted with 12 5G bands and even a hybrid SIM slot. For cameras, you get a single 50MP main camera on the back and an 8MP on the front. The photos come out nice with natural colors and decent details. The portraits does take some time to process, but the results are good for the price. For video recording, both the lenses are limited to 1080p30 only. The Galaxy M17e has launched in India at ₹13,999. And for the price, this is a solid Samsung phone.
