A Pregnant Stray Dog Fought for Life and Her Puppies Got a Second Chance

A pregnant stray dog was found collapsed in a remote area, extremely weak and struggling to breathe. She was suffering from a severe tick infestation that led to dangerous anemia and critical health complications. Because of her pregnancy, treatment had to be handled with special care. Emergency exams revealed that one puppy had already been lost, and an urgent cesarean section became necessary to save her life and the remaining babies. A veterinary team provided immediate care to stabilize the newborns. Seven puppies survived and are now being closely monitored, kept warm, and supported as they grow stronger. The mother is recovering after surgery and a blood transfusion. Despite her fragile state, she continues caring for her babies while receiving close medical supervision and supplemental feeding support. This rescue shows how timely intervention, professional veterinary care, and compassion can give animals a second chance.
